The Start of a Journey 2008
My name is David Munger A.k.a. "Boots"! In April 2008 I began
a backpacking journey on The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail.
The 2650-mile trail extends from the Mexico border into Canada passing
through California, Oregon, and Washington states. An estimated 300 hikers
attempt the Mexico to Canada journey annually.
In September 08' I left the trail 1725-miles north of the Mexico border
at Ashland Oregon with an injury. For that reason I'm attempting the journey
again in 2009.

The Journey Continues 2009
I arrived a few miles north of the Mexico Border at Lake Morena to a festive
gathering of trail enthusiasts. Following several days of events I traveled
to the border and hiked the first 20-miles of PCT trail.
The next day I left the trail and travelled 500-miles north to Green Valley
California completing various tasks related to my journey along the way.
This required 14 zero days.
From Green Valley I'm hiking south 500-miles back to Lake Morena. Once
there I'll return to Green Valley and begin a north bound trek 2150-miles
to Canada.
